Ihatefreedom is a website made by a few teenagers in Norway whose main goal is to fill it with their work. We throw any video/audio/web projects we're involved in here. It was started in April 2010 when Erlend got the domain name for free from Hank Green, and felt it would be a waste of a catchy domain name not to do something with it. We do not hate freedom. Or at least, we have no official policy on it.
The film was made with a volunteer cast and crew and deals with the experiences of several teenagers at a few key points in time throughout the year following their high school graduation. It was written by Erlend along with Sindre Hansen, who also stars along with many others, including Tani Hansen (Jakten på Don Solli), Eva Victoria Verpe (Vampyr), Julian Mæhlen (Plagiat), Peter Skeie and Ingvild Haus Grønlien. The one man band Blue Skies provided original music, and Erik Alexander Szücs Nordeng is the cinematographer of the film.
The film is about a little girl named Kaja, who admires and looks up to her big brother Sander. Sander has a fear of water that Kaja doesn’t share. Mom and dad have agreed to give Sander twenty Norwegian krones and a yo-yo to dive from the tallest tower at the swimming pool. There are few things Kaja want more than twenty krones and a yo-yo.

The album is produced by Erlend Lunde Holbek, with help from Teurre, Sigurd Benan, DJ Szücs and others. It features the return of Den Sjette Svansen, the featured rapper responsible for the most popular track off 2013′s Ut av systemet, as well as a whole slew of cool new guest rappers, singers and musicians. The album is sonically influenced by classic hiphop as well as indie pop, folk, blues and jazz, and feels more complete and relaxed.
Erlend Lunde Holbek has decided to become a rapper, and his first solo album, Ut av systemet, produced by Erik Alexander Szücs Nordeng and featuring artists like Bendikmann, Den sjette Svansen, Avart and Halvor Njerve, is currently available on WiMP, iTunes, Spotify and several other platforms.Visit project
Erlend Lunde Holbek and Sindre Hansen, the writers of Astronauts and Movie Stars and well as Jakten på Don Solli, are writing, directing and producing a new weekly podcast called Meningen med livet (The Meaning of Life). The show follows Bendik, a 25 year old Norwegian who meets God and establishes a new religion.Visit project
Two members of ihatefreedom, Erik and Halvor, decided to make an album. And so they did. It’s now available on Spotify and iTunes. The album also features vocals by ihatefreedom favorites Andreas Augdahl, Erlend Holbek, Tani Hansen and Ine Julia Rojahn Schwebs.Visit project
Like most of our films, this is in Norwegian. The short was one of our last school projects, and it was an immensely enjoyable production. Made by the crew behind the Jakten series, it is an exercise in postmodernism – every line and every shot is an explicit reference to at least one other work.Visit project
The series was created by Sindre Hansen, Sindre Strand and Erlend Holbek. The episodes were primarily written by the Sindres, while Erlend directed every episode.
Tani Hansen starred as Tani Tansen, Camilla Martinussen as Camilla Martinsen and Lill Therese Scheie Berg as Lill Schperg. The primary villain of the series was the evil substitute teacher Kurt Singstad, played by Simen Meyer.
The series was shot by Erik Nordeng and Halvor Njerve, who also contributed much of the music – with the major exception of the genre-hopping theme song composed and arranged by Thomas Gunnari Røtting.
The series proved to be so popular and fun to make that we produced a sequel/spin-off series named Jakten på Tani Tansen (The Hunt for Tani Tansen) for easter 2012. The series consisted of fewer, shorter and more experimental episodes featuring the new protagonist Kristine Stischperg, played brilliantly by Kristine Stiberg.
Erlend and Erik of ihatefreedom have, together with Halvor Solhjem Njerve, made this very simple short film named Tufsen. For the time being it’s not subtitled, but it is a school project film about a teacher’s conference, loosely inspired by Tarjei Vesaas’ The Birds.
Thanks to the great Sindre Hansen, as well as Helene Samuelsen and Line Ellingsen, for starring. This was a quick and effective shoot, and that’s largely thanks to you guys. Check the finished film out on YouTube.Visit project
