Less than a year after the release of Stormkitchen’s Cooking on the Run, Ihatefreedom Records is at work on another album. Erlend Lunde Holbek has somehow decided to become a rapper because… why not? His album, Ut av systemet, produced by Erik Alexander Szücs Nordeng and featuring a bunch of great TBA artists, is currently in production, aiming for a summer 2013 release.
Erlend Lunde Holbek and Sindre Hansen, the writers of Astronauts and Movie Stars and well as Jakten på Don Solli, are writing, directing and producing a new weekly podcast called Meningen med livet (The Meaning of Life). The show follows Bendik, a 25 year old Norwegian who meets God and establishes a new religion.

We’ve previously listed most of the cast and crew, but we can tell you that shooting has long since wrapped, and we are only a couple of months from a final cut of the film, which we plan to premiere this year.
The film was written by Erlend along with Sindre Hansen, who also stars along with many others, including Tani Hansen (Jakten på Don Solli), Eva Victoria Verpe (Vampyr), Julian Mæhlen (Plagiat), Peter Skeie (Manglerudrevyen) and Ingvild Haus Grønlien. Erlend also has a small role, in addition to directing, producing and editing.
The one man band Blue Skies will provide original music, and Erik Alexander Szücs Nordeng is the cinematographer of the film, which is about halfway through its shooting schedule and is expected to come out some time in 2013.
Two members of ihatefreedom, Erik and Halvor, decided to make an album. And so they did. It’s now available on Spotify and iTunes. The album also features vocals by ihatefreedom favorites Andreas Augdahl, Erlend Holbek, Tani Hansen and Ine Julia Rojahn Schwebs.

Erlend and Erik had a final exam in Media and communication. They were asked to “make a trailer for a short film inspired by a work by Edvard Munch,” and this is the edit Erlend came up with.

Like most of our films, this is in Norwegian. The short was one of our last school projects, and it was an immensely enjoyable production. Made by the crew behind the Jakten series, it is an exercise in postmodernism – every line and every shot is an explicit reference to at least one other work.

The series was created by Sindre Hansen, Sindre Strand and Erlend Holbek. The episodes were primarily written by the Sindres, while Erlend directed every episode.
Tani Hansen starred as Tani Tansen, Camilla Martinussen as Camilla Martinsen and Lill Therese Scheie Berg as Lill Schperg. The primary villain of the series was the evil substitute teacher Kurt Singstad, played by Simen Meyer.
The series was shot by Erik Nordeng and Halvor Njerve, who also contributed much of the music – with the major exception of the genre-hopping theme song composed and arranged by Thomas Gunnari Røtting.
The series proved to be so popular and fun to make that we produced a sequel/spin-off series named Jakten på Tani Tansen (The Hunt for Tani Tansen) for easter 2012. The series consisted of fewer, shorter and more experimental episodes featuring the new protagonist Kristine Stischperg, played brilliantly by Kristine Stiberg.
Erlend shot and did some cool VFX for this (unofficial) ad for the International Contraception Day. It’s in Norwegian, but once you learn that the title means “two seconds,” you should be able to understand the message of this ad, directed by Håkon Olavsen. Check it out

Erlend and Erik of ihatefreedom have, together with Halvor Solhjem Njerve, made this very simple short film named Tufsen. For the time being it’s not subtitled, but it is a school project film about a teacher’s conference, loosely inspired by Tarjei Vesaas’ The Birds.
Thanks to the great Sindre Hansen, as well as Helene Samuelsen and Line Ellingsen, for starring. This was a quick and effective shoot, and that’s largely thanks to you guys. Check the finished film out on YouTube.

Initially conceived as the pilot of a webshow named Suicide Letters, this 3D animated comedy short about letters committing suicide is filled with bad puns, outlandish visuals and creative characters. Pun intended.

A gangster hip hop group consisting of Erlend and Brage (vocals) and Erik (amazing production). Unfortunately this incredible band has so far only released one song; an ode to the website Amatør.no.
